South Minneapolis Revisited A sagging lean-to front-entry porch was remodeled to reveal original classic columns and restore an identity to this south Minneapolis home. The client, who’d hired Sawhorse before, was inspired when they walked past our main-level remodel of a neighbor’s transformed front entry, and asked us to achieve something similar with her home. The pair of classic columns were salvaged and placed in a more prominent location under small vaulted ceiling with a quaint hanging light fixture to add to the entry’s inviting feel. Low-maintenance steps and landing provided an updated, safer means for guests to enter the home. Now this client’s front entry has the enticing feel she saw us completing down the block.
